Senior Interior Designer

We are searching for a somebody who has cemented themselves in the industry as an accomplished professional and a talented designer, with at least 8-10 years (post grad) experience in the interior design sector.

This person should aim to continue to build networking connections and will likely become a key profile for the Practice, and be pro-active in representing Cera Stribley as part of business development. This ideal candidate would be able to provide input on and implementing organisational strategies alongside the management team. Cera Stribley has in place already established pathways to become a shareholder in the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone with supportive leadership skills who can guide a team with their many projects on the go at one time. They will have insight and experience in the programming and forecasting of milestones together with billing and the skills to help the team meet all of their goals. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly integrate themselves into the practice and offer mentoring to the juniors in the team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work on all elements of project stages from the front-end concept through to Design Development, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration
  • Manage a team with multiple ongoing projects
  • Coordinating consultants work
  • Managing communications with all project stakeholders
  • Assisting team members with WIP, project programs and milestones, and communications
  • Budgeting and reporting coordinating with Operations Manager
Attributes/Skills necessary:
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience
  • Exceptional design skillset (concept and planning/layouts) and design eye
  • Strong experience in interior documentation
  • Experience in in high-end single residential and multi-residential design
  • Experience in developing 3D conceptual design
  • Highly skilled in REVIT and Adobe InDesign
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines across multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong leadership skills, guiding and mentoring a team and working autonomously but collaboratively with the Head of Interior Design
