BIM Manager

This role is for an experienced BIM Manager who will lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling processes across our architectural practice.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong leadership abilities, enabling them to develop and maintain BIM standards while supporting project teams. This person will be responsible for optimising our BIM workflows, ensuring consistency across projects, and driving innovation in our digital delivery processes. The successful candidate will have deep technical knowledge of BIM software and processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between design and technology.

Responsibilities Include:

Develop, implement and maintain BIM standards, protocols and workflows
Manage and contribute to the practice’s Revit and Enscape content library and ensure its accessibility and organisation
Ongoing development and refinement of the practice’s Revit template
Look for opportunities to streamline digital workflows and processes throughout the business
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for project teams
Train and mentor staff in BIM software and best practices
Coordinate with external consultants on BIM execution plans and protocols
Ensure regular auditing and quality control of Revit files across all projects at key milestones
Evaluate and recommend new BIM tools and industry trends
Manage software licenses and deployments across Autodesk, Chaos and Rhino
Collaborate with IT team on hardware requirements and system configurations
Driving conversations and exploration of new and emerging technologies, including potential AI, LLM and ML workflows

 

Attributes/Skills necessary:

Advanced skills and knowledge in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Comprehensive understanding of programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino and Enscape
Ability to write and manipulate visual programming scripts in Dynamo and Grasshopper. Python and Revit API knowledge will be highly regarded
Minimum 3 years experience in BIM management
Strong understanding of architectural design and documentation processes
Experience in developing and implementing BIM standards and protocols
Excellence in technical problem-solving and troubleshooting
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to train and mentor staff at various skill levels
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proactive approach to learning new technologies
Architecture or related technical degree preferred
Interest in emerging technologies across AI, LLM and ML tools
