Architectural Designer

Are you an “Archi-nerd” with a passion for creating exceptional buildings? We’re looking for someone who’s not only driven to design remarkable structures but also eager to think strategically and learn how to enhance the commercial viability of projects.

This is a unique opportunity to dive into the design process from the very beginning. If you have a solid understanding of BADS and the Planning system and thrive on developing design concepts, this role is for you. We’re not concerned with how many years of experience you have—we care about your talent, drive, and being a good human!

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead design and feasibility studies for diverse projects, including high-end multi-residential and commercial developments.
  • Ensure compliance with planning overlays and standards.
  • Collaborate on all stages of projects, from initial concept through TP process and into the early Design Development stage.
  • Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, coordinate with consultants, and support the Design Director and team members.

Desired skills/attributes:

  • A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for design.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in architecture or a related field.
  • Some post-graduate experience with medium to large-scale projects across various typologies is ideal, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Enscape.
  • Strong knowledge of BADS and experience applying it to different project types and scales.
  • Exceptional design skills, particularly in concept development and planning/layouts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
