FF&E Designer 

This role is for an experienced FF&E Designer to bring creativity, precision, and project delivery expertise to our dynamic practice. The ideal candidate combines a refined design sensibility with deep knowledge of furniture, finishes, and equipment, delivering curated solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects – predominantly residential. As a key project team member, this person will develop FF&E concepts, manage supplier relationships, prepare detailed schedules and specifications, and ensure design integrity through to project completion, including playing an integral role in styling and photography of projects alongside our marketing team. The successful candidate will demonstrate both creative flair and technical competence in delivering sophisticated, client-focused outcomes. This person will have the ability to step into a traditional mid-level Interior Design role when projects require.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop FF&E concepts, palettes, and documentation
  • Research and source furniture, finishes, fixtures, and equipment
  • Art selection and styling
  • Prepare specifications, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors
  • Communicate design intent clearly to clients and stakeholders
  • Manage procurement processes and supplier negotiations
  • Facilitate sample reviews and approvals
  • Support interior design teams in project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and installation reviews / furniture bump ins
  • Styling for photoshoots
  • Ensure quality and consistency of FF&E outcomes
  • Maintain an organised materials library and supplier network
  • Contribute to practice design development initiatives
Attributes/Skills necessary:
  • Around 5 years post-graduate FF&E or interior design experience
  • Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, and materiality
  • Experience in developing FF&E schedules and specifications
  • Refined design aesthetic and attention to detail
  • Understanding of procurement processes and budgets
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines
  • Collaborative team mindset with proactive initiative
  • Problem-solving capability and flexibility
