Senior Associate

This Melbourne based role is for a design-focused, registered Architect, with 10+ years of experience. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with project management capabilities, bringing both practical knowledge and attention to detail to our diverse portfolio of projects.

As a key member of the project team, this person will coordinate design Town Planning documentation and presentations, manage projects budgeting and resourcing, and support client relationships. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in quality front end Design packages and proven strategic thinking applied to TP aspects of project and the ability to lead small to medium-sized project teams.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead client presentations and design meetings
  • Provide guidance and leadership across several team members and projects
  • Work on multi-residential projects from feasibility and concept through to Town Planning and early stages of Design Development
  • Develop creative design solutions
  • Coordinate with consultants
  • Participate in practice design reviews and team discussions
  • Design competitions and submissions
  • Engage in practice professional development activities
  • Forecasting and project budgeting working with the leadership team and operations
Desired skills/attributes:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Intuitive and adept leader
  • Over 10 years post-graduation experience
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating creative thinking
  • Highly skilled in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD and Enscape
  • Thorough knowledge of BADs and NCC
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team to a high standard
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities
