Senior Documenter Architect

This role is for an experienced Architect – Senior Documenter to lead documentation delivery within our dynamic practice, with a focus on complex technical documentation and team coordination. The ideal candidate combines extensive documentation expertise with strong technical leadership, bringing both precision and mentorship to our project delivery process. Working closely with project architects, this person will oversee documentation packages, coordinate team workflows, and maintain quality standards across multiple projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical capability and the ability to guide documentation teams effectively.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and oversee construction documentation packages
Review and coordinate technical drawings and documentation sets
Ensure compliance with building codes and standards
Manage documentation team workflows and priorities
Establish and maintain documentation standards
Coordinate consultant integration in documentation
Implement and oversee quality control processes
Supervise preparation of schedules and specifications
Manage construction phase documentation requirements
Guide document control systems and processes
Mentor junior documenters and team members
Monitor documentation efficiency and quality

Desired skills/attributes:

Relevant tertiary qualifications
Intuitive and adept leader
Over 8+ years post-graduation experience
Strong design portfolio demonstrating creative thinking
Highly skilled in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD and Enscape
Thorough knowledge of BADs and NCC
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team to a high standard
Good verbal and written communication skills
Initiative and problem-solving abilities
