Cera Stribley is proud to announce our partnership with 10×10 for the program’s upcoming Melbourne event, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for three worthy grassroots charities: Wilya Janta, Bridge It, and FoodFilled.

Philanthropic giving is the backbone of charitable efforts across Australia and globally, supporting vulnerable populations and fostering social cohesion within communities. With approximately 60,000 registered charities in Australia alone, the sector addresses critical societal issues like mental health, domestic violence, and homelessness.

However, the Australian Government’s November 2023 Productivity Commission Report revealed that 94 percent of charitable donations are directed to the largest 10 percent of charities, while 98 percent of government funding supports large or extra-large charities. But what about smaller, early-stage organisations? Who supports those offering innovative solutions to longstanding problems but lack visibility and funding? This is where 10×10 steps in.

Lack of funds and awareness can hinder the success of grassroots organisations striving to make a difference. 10×10 acts as a bridge between these impactful Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs) and supportive communities through engaging events.

The concept is simple:

• Step 1: Gather a group of reasonably well-connected individuals.
• Step 2: Together, select three deserving early-stage SPOs in need of funds.
• Step 3: Organise an event, leveraging connections for donations (financial or in-kind) to ensure its success.
• Step 4: Invite generous friends.
• Step 5: Enjoy an evening of inspiration and giving.

10×10 events are more than just gatherings; they provide a platform for SPO founders to directly share their impactful missions. Using a Shark Tank-inspired framework, attendees delve into the business models of these organisations, asking questions to ensure sustainable impact. Alongside the opportunity to win incredible auction prizes, guests can enjoy entertainment, drinks, canapés, and unparalleled networking opportunities. Each event offers a chance to be part of something bigger.
