Guess who’s been nominated for the Urban Leader Awards

The Urban Developer has officially released the shortlisted nominees for the inaugural Urban Leader Awards, and we’re delighted to announce that Cera Stribley co-founder and managing principal, Dom Cerantonio has been named a finalist in the Architecture & Design category.

The Urban Leader Awards were launched to honour those in property design and development who lead with integrity, innovation, and responsibility. For Dom to be shortlisted alongside other inspiring industry figures is humbling for all of us at Cera Stribley. His dedication to shaping a better urban future is at the heart of everything we do. This recognition is a reflection of Dom’s tireless passion for creating meaningful, impactful design solutions that not only shape our cities but resonate deeply with the communities they serve.

What has made this moment even more special is the outpouring of support from our clients and collaborators. Paul Little, Director of Planning & Property Partners, beautifully captured the essence of Dom’s work: “The Cera Stribley team, under Dom’s guidance, has developed a multi-disciplinary practice that sets itself apart through innovation and the adoption of advanced design tools. The ability to communicate highly resolved architectural designs in an immersive and creative way has led to better design outcomes for clients.”

Our projects, such as Rondure House, Victoria Hill, and Boxshall, are prime examples of this approach—each one thoughtfully crafted to respond to its unique environment, blending creativity with the practicalities of urban planning. Dom’s visionary leadership has been key to bringing these projects to life.

The support from industry partners goes beyond design, though. As AJ Batra—a long-time client and Managing Director of Above Zero—highlighted, “Dom’s ability to combine creative design with exceptional business acumen is rare. He has the vision to create beautiful buildings but also the pragmatism to make them commercially viable.”

It’s this balance of creativity and practicality that continues to drive us forward at Cera Stribley. Dom’s nomination wouldn’t be possible without the talented team that stands behind him, and the trust placed in us by our clients. Illan Samuel, Managing Director of Samuel Property, reflected this sentiment, saying: “The architecture produced by Dom is exemplary, not just from a design perspective but also commercially. His designs consistently achieve permits, record sales, and move swiftly into construction, all while being mindful of local planning guidelines.”

At the core of all these achievements is a deep sense of responsibility to the built environment and the people who interact with it. Dom’s leadership has been integral in ensuring that we remain committed to delivering designs that respect the fabric of our urban landscapes while pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

As we celebrate Dom’s nomination, we do so with immense gratitude for the many people who have supported us along the way. The recognition is not just his, but a reflection of the collaboration, creativity, and trust that defines our work at Cera Stribley. Thank you to everyone who has played a role in this journey.

The winners of the Urban Leader Awards will be announced soon, and regardless of the outcome, we’re incredibly proud of Dom and the team for their contributions to shaping a more thoughtful and innovative urban future.
