As we approach the conclusion of another remarkable year, we reflect on 2023 with a deep sense of gratitude, relief, and accomplishment.

Undoubtedly, the past 12 months have been a whirlwind of activity and characteristic chaos. The completion of our Melbourne team’s new space in Richmond was a standout moment, though the actual move itself was not without its challenges. We extend an enormous THANK YOU to each individual who went above and beyond to make it happen (you know who you are).

In the Sunshine State, our presence continues to expand. We’ve been delighted to welcome Candice and Danielle, the newest additions to our Brisbane team. They join forces with our Brisbane Studio Lead, Darcy Kay, in spearheading our expanding portfolio of projects in Queensland. This includes a substantial build-to-rent project on the Gold Coast and an exciting Adaptive-Reuse project in Spring Hill.

Simultaneously, our footprint in the hospitality and retail sectors has flourished. Noteworthy completions include Indie Spa in Aireys Inlet, the Winning Appliances Redfern Showroom, and the Provedore Cafe at Mitchelton Estate. Building on this momentum, we’re currently engaged in projects such as a boutique hotel in East Melbourne, a luxury getaway in the Dandenong Ranges with a restaurant, spa, and guest villas, Hubert Estate Hotel in the Yarra Valley, and a series of private wellness centres in and around Melbourne.

The Residential Team has had an exceptional year, concluding nine heritage alterations and additions projects and delivering three beautiful new homes in Victoria. The recent promotion of Associate Director, Sarah Wardlaw, to Head of Single Residential underscores the team’s remarkable growth and the impressive direction they are heading—stay tuned for more!

In the multi-residential realm, our team has been equally industrious—launching six new projects, breaking ground on six more, and completing an additional three. And there’s more in the pipeline, with several projects currently in Town Planning.

On a personal note, we celebrated four engagements, three weddings, numerous birthdays, and welcomed five little-ones to the world (and the Cera Stribley extended family), including a set of twins. The level of personal and professional development across the board is purely, simply inspirational.

With numerous outstanding projects in progress and our 10th birthday on the horizon, the year ahead promises to be even more significant. Our heartfelt thanks to all our clients and collaborators—we wouldn’t be where we are today without you. Here’s to continued collaboration in the years ahead!
