Tucked within the leafy streets of Glen Iris, Orchard Mews is a thoughtfully designed collection of town homes that sits confidently within its neighbourhood.

Taking cues from the surrounding streetscape, simple, rectilinear geometry, classical proportions and a neutral palette lending the development a sense of familiarity and calm.

From Scott Grove, the development presents as two distinct yet cohesive volumes, separated by a central mews that provides pedestrian access to each home. A generous setback along the Scott Grove frontage preserves four mature trees with low planters and palisade fencing that define the street edge, offering privacy to residents while contributing greenery to an already lush streetscape.

Cutouts in the upper levels of the southern volume draw natural light into the development’s depths while reducing visual bulk. Each residence is designed around comfortable living, natural light and cross ventilation, with kitchen, dining and living areas occupying a full floor and bedrooms oriented toward the north wherever possible.

Private courtyards and terraces provide an average of 49 square metres of open space per residence, creating opportunities for landscaping and green amenity throughout the development and at the Scott Grove interface.

Orchard Mews encapsulates a considered blend of contemporary design and environmental sensitivity — a development that earns its place in its street, its suburb, and the lives of those who call it home.
